Brisa

2017

In the stand up paddle funboard shape, Brisa is a board that uses bionic concepts to reduce its weight, but maintain a resistant structure. To do this, we observed the natural structures that use minimal paths to connect and give shape experimenting with soap bubbles.

It is made up of a sandwich of laser-cut MDF boards and covered with fiberglass and resin. The boards manufactured today are made from toxic materials: Polyurethane and Styrofoam, which are harmful to both the environment and the health of the board producers, who are continually exposed to the materials.
